A yearly event to reward the merit of individuals in the community for their hard work, innovation,concepts and

ideas that helped better the community with artists from all around new york and even from out of state being rewarded.

This was the Teriyah Africans Awardsl 2007 also called New Year's Day 2008, at Shrine in Harlem, New york. The event was hosted by Thierry de Balliet, music by, DJ Birane & The DJ's Family of NYC.
